Mayor's Day 2020

The Willunga Golf Club Women’s Mayor’s day held on 25th September was a successful event. For the first time we closed the event early because we had received 100 entries within two weeks of sending out our entry form and that was our limit due to Covid. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather on the day we had a field of 78 players and 6 volunteers.

Everyone who played thought our course was in wonderful condition but the “greens were quick” so a big thank you to Sam and his staff.

We must also thank the Council for the use of the Marquee which made a very comfortable setting for our players who had to sit outside because of Covid restrictions within the clubrooms. Also, their support in donating $250.00 towards membership as 1st prize as well as the Mayors trophy. Our other major sponsor on the day was Alfred James thank you once again for your sponsorship.

The clubroom looked amazing, well done Jade, many visitors commented on how lovely the tables looked. The abundant spring flowers supplied by Willunga golfers and made into table arrangements added to the colourful setting by Jade of the clubrooms and marquee.

Many, many comments from members and visitors on the tasty well-presented food, delicious.
